EOAS Strategic Plan Town Hall: Polar Change

October 3 from 10:00 am1:00 pm

The Institute for Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (EOAS), together with colleagues from across five schools at Rutgers – New Brunswick and neighboring schools in our region, is currently engaged in a self-study to inform the development of the EOAS strategic plan. Strategic planning committees are examining how to best align EOAS’s affiliated graduate programs and how to advance groundbreaking strategies for research, teaching, outreach, and policy engagement in five thematic areas: planetary habitability, Earth system history, Earth observations and forecasting, Earth systems risks, and polar change. The Town Halls are an opportunity for the committees to present their findings to and receive feedback from interested members of the EOAS and broader Rutgers communities. Rutgers faculty, postdoctoral associates, and graduate students are all encouraged to participate.
