Sea levels are rising at an accelerating rate, resulting in more frequent and higher coastal floods. Coastal and low lying areas in NJ are particularly vulnerable. In this session, Dr. Robert Kopp, Director of the Rutgers’ Institute of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, will share the latest information on sea-level rise (SLR), changing coastal storms and the resulting flood risk from a regional perspective.
