Join the Office of Undergraduate Education for a conversation with Carlie Andrews, Senior Director of Disability Services and Åsa Rennermalm, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, about making our classrooms more inclusive and accessible to students with disabilities.

In honor of Disability Awareness month and following up on the lessons we learned from our recent Voices of Diversity program, we want to explore the many ways instructors can help support students with disabilities in their classrooms. Carlie and Åsa will discuss concrete strategies instructors can easily implement to increase inclusion and accessibility.

Together we will consider approaches to help increase representation and build awareness of disabilities, foster a greater sense of belonging, to provide multiple ways of engaging with course content, and to frame course policies on late work, revisions, and attendance. Join us for this interactive conversation where you are welcome to share your thoughts, questions, and experiences. And don’t forget to bring your tea!
